DIESEL BATCH FRYER

Diesel Batch Fryer Machine Manufacturer in India – SS Engineering Works

SS Engineering Works has been making diesel batch fryer machines at our Greater Noida factory since 2011. We supply diesel batch fryers to namkeen manufacturers, snack brands, and food processing plants across India -specifically for locations where LPG supply is missing, unreliable, or where diesel running cost makes more practical sense than gas. Capacity starts at 50 kg/hr for smaller setups and goes up to 250 kg/hr for mature production lines. Our clients include Haldiram, Bikaji, Bikano, and Patanjali.

No gas connection at your factory? LPG cylinders running out mid-shift because the supplier missed delivery? We built this fryer for exactly that situation. Diesel is at every pump in India. It does not depend on a supplier, a booking, or a pipeline. Call +91 98184 89414 with your product and daily output number.

What’s Included with Our Diesel Batch Fryer

Every diesel batch fryer from SS Engineering Works ships production-ready. Each unit includes the following as standard:

  • Diesel-fired burner with external indirect heat exchanger -flue gases kept completely separate from frying oil
  • SS304 fryer body -rectangular or round design with insulated oil tank
  • Digital thermostat and temperature control unit -steady, repeatable frying heat from batch to batch
  • Manual or semi-automatic loading basket -based on required capacity
  • Integrated oil filtration -continuously removes starch fines so oil stays clean all shift
  • De-oiling conveyor -VFD-based speed adjustment for smooth handling
  • Seasoning drum with slurry dosing -even salt and masala coverage on every piece
  • Operator control panel with switches

Every diesel fryer we make has the indirect heat exchanger built in. Non-negotiable. The reason is simple -a direct heat diesel fryer puts the burner inside the oil chamber. Combustion gases go straight into the oil. The oil picks it up. Your product picks it up. By batch three you can smell it. We do not manufacture that type of fryer. The burner on our machine sits outside. Oil heats through a closed exchanger. The two sides never meet.

Capacity Options

We manufacture diesel batch fryer machines in three standard production capacities:

Capacity Best For
50 kg/hr Small namkeen and snack units in no-gas areas -compact setup, fuel-efficient
100 kg/hr Regional manufacturers producing one or two SKUs per shift
250 kg/hr Established snack lines running full continuous shifts with steady daily output targets

50 or 100 kg/hr is where most buyers in non-gas areas start. The 250 kg/hr diesel fryer is for operations running back-to-back full shifts on a single product. Tell us your daily output target -call +91 98184 89414 and we will size it correctly.

Indirect Heat vs Direct Heat -Why It Matters

Two types of diesel batch fryers are sold in India. Most buyers only understand the difference after they have bought the wrong one.

Direct-Heat Diesel Fryer -What to Avoid

The burner sits inside the frying pan. Heats fast. Costs less upfront. But combustion gases contact the frying oil directly -oil degrades faster, colour turns uneven, and combustion smell can be detected in the finished snack. Common in low-cost fryers listed on IndiaMART under 2 lakhs. The saving at purchase becomes a recurring cost in oil quality, product rework, and buyer complaints.

Indirect-Heat Diesel Fryer -What We Build

The diesel burner mounts outside the fryer. Oil heats through an enclosed heat exchanger -combustion gases never touch the oil at any point. Oil performance stays consistent all shift. Product colour stays even from batch to batch. No combustion odour in the finished snack. Costs more upfront. Saves money on oil consumption, product consistency, and rework across the machine’s lifetime. Every diesel batch fryer SS Engineering Works builds is this type only. We do not make direct-heat models -that is a deliberate decision.

Why Diesel -Not LPG or Wood Pellet?

Three situations where diesel is the right call:

No gas grid nearby. Most factories that call us about the diesel fryer are in towns where the LPG supplier is inconsistent. Two cylinders show up when you ordered six. Production stops. That problem does not exist with diesel. One call to a local supplier or one trip to the pump and you are running again.

Heavy batch loads back to back. Diesel generates heat faster than LPG at the same burner size. For back-to-back batches of 50 kg namkeen, the oil temperature drops after each load and needs to recover before the next one. Diesel brings it back faster. That means more batches per shift without compromising fry quality.

Diesel is cheaper in your area. In Rajasthan, Punjab, and UP, diesel per kg of fried product works out cheaper than LPG at current local rates for a number of manufacturers. This is not true everywhere. Rates change. We will tell you honestly when you call whether diesel or LPG saves more money in your area.

Applications -What You Can Fry

Namkeen, fryums, kurkure, papad, mathri, chakli, bhujia, boondi, sev, corn rings, potato chips. The diesel batch fryer is what factories running three or four products in a single shift use. Morning shift namkeen, afternoon fryums, evening papad. Each batch gets its own temperature and fry time. The diesel burner pulls the oil temperature back up between product changes fast enough that you do not lose output waiting.

Why Choose SS Engineering Works

Our factory address has not changed since 2011. Ecotech III, Greater Noida. No distributors. The engineer who makes your fryer is the one who drives to your factory for installation. Six months later, when something needs adjustment, that same engineer picks up the phone. Manufacturers in Rajasthan and Punjab who came to us after bad experiences with other suppliers say that direct accountability was the thing they could not find anywhere else.

  • Factory visits welcome -see the diesel batch fryer running live before you order
  • Zero outsourcing -built, installed, and serviced fully in-house
  • One-year mechanical warranty on all components
  • AMC available after the warranty period ends

Diesel Batch Fryer -Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we receive most often from buyers before ordering a diesel batch fryer machine from SS Engineering Works.

What is a diesel batch fryer?

A diesel batch fryer loads a fixed amount of product, fries it, drains, and waits for the next load. The diesel burner heats the oil. On our machines the burner is external, connected through a heat exchanger, so combustion gases never enter the oil side. We build these for namkeen, fryums, kurkure, papad, and mixed snack lines in locations where LPG is not a reliable option.

What is the difference between direct-heat and indirect-heat diesel fryers?

Direct-heat: burner inside the frying pan, combustion gases mix with oil, product quality suffers. Indirect-heat: burner mounted outside, oil heated through a sealed exchanger, combustion gases fully separated. SS Engineering manufactures indirect-heat diesel batch fryers only. We do not make direct-heat models.

What is the diesel batch fryer machine price in India?

Diesel batch fryer machine price varies by capacity (50, 100, or 250 kg/hr), body design (rectangular or round), and included accessories (oil filter, de-oiling conveyor, seasoning drum). Every machine is configured to the buyer’s specification -we do not publish prices online. Call +91 98184 89414 for a direct quote.

Which products can be fried in a diesel batch fryer?

Namkeen, fryums, kurkure, papad, mathri, chakli, bhujia, boondi, sev, corn rings, potato chips. The diesel batch fryer works well for multi-product lines where different snacks are fried on the same machine across the day -each with its own fry time and temperature setting.

Is a diesel batch fryer better than an LPG fryer?

No universal answer. Diesel is the better choice when LPG deliveries are irregular in your area, or when diesel cost per batch comes out lower at current local rates. LPG is cleaner and easier to regulate where the supply is reliable. Tell us your location and we will give you a straight answer on which one makes more financial sense for your setup.

Do you supply diesel batch fryers outside Delhi NCR?

Yes. We have supplied diesel batch fryers to manufacturers in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and across India. Installation and commissioning are included with every order regardless of location.

What warranty comes with the diesel batch fryer?

Free installation at your factory. Operator training included. One-year mechanical warranty on every part from the day of commissioning. After the warranty year, AMC contracts are available. Spare parts ship from Greater Noida directly -no distributor in between, which means faster turnaround when something needs replacing.
